Are you confused what Strand will you take this coming Grade 11? Standby and I will help you to know about the Science, Technology Engineering, and Mathematics strand. My last Junior High School I really confused what strand do I take in this coming Senior High School. It is difficult for me to know what strand I really like. But in our last quarter grading our teacher make a career development to guide all the Grade 10 student who will take for different strand. In the middle of my answering in our career development I encountered that most of my assessment is related for STEM strand.
Introduction to STEM
This course introduced for the students who will take the STEM track. Experience of STEM student during Face to Face And Online Learning
Face to Face Classes
This time I ask some STEM student experience face to face classes. According to Fiedacan (2022) states, as a stem student I've been through a lot but it's really worth it because of my supportive family and circle of friends. I cannot say that my senior high journey was all good. It was a roller coaster ride but life is much easier to face because I was able to communicate with my classmates and friends compared to our current situation right now that communication is in the form of internet. I finished my senior high school at Romblon State University where I met a lot of people, new circle of friends and new environment. At first it was hard for me to adjust in an environment that is different from what I'ved used to. As time passed by I was able to adopt the daily routine of life in Odiongan. Since I'm a STEM student, I experienced the night class that makes my journey a lot more complex. Going to school early without a meal and have some breakfast at the canteen, sometimes got home broke because of my failed score but it didn't bother me and walk with my friends laughing at the hallway. "Life is much more easier when you have someone to count on." This quote reminds me of my SHS journey. I've been missing the good old days. Hoping this pandemic will end soon and all of us can experience and explore more.
Online Learning
I conduct interview to my fellow student. To know the experience of online learning as a student of STEM strand and according to Latorre (2022), as a STEM student having online classes amidst this pandemic, I think I have experienced few difficulties and some disturbances during my classes. It is fascinating that even though sometimes I am having internet connection problems, I still manage to understand ng lessons and ace my test and quizzes. Having everything done and submitted online was kinda challenging and somewhat enjoyable because you get to learn and discover everything in the process. I still manage to make new friends and communicate with them through calls, video calls and chats while being safe inside our home. However, even if I am already fully adapted to this type of learning modality, I still wish to be able to personally talk and meet with my friends or classmates face to face in the near future after the COVID-19 Pandemic.
